The villages within a 5-kilometer radius of the epicenter include Lidao, Luodou, Ranggong, Dulu, Qiongyi, and Baiyangping, with towns within a 20-kilometer radius such as Shuiluo, Wachang, and Guzeng Miao Village. The average altitude within a 5-kilometer radius of the epicenter is about 3316 meters.

In the early hours at 1:54 a.m., a 3.9 magnitude earthquake occurred in Akto County, Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang (latitude 38.29 degrees north, longitude 75.17 degrees east) with a depth of 125 kilometers.
