Show at JJ Lin music festival has reduced interaction, prompting audience to chant “refund”.

Mainland Chinese singer Joker Xue, who is often teased by fans to “refund tickets” during his concerts, took the stage as the headliner at the “One Love Asia Music Festival” in Singapore on October 20. Known for his loquacious nature and dubbed as a “talkative,” Xue had to cut short the interaction segment with fans due to time constraints at the event, which once again prompted fans to jokingly demand a refund.

According to Singapore’s “The Straits Times,” the “One Love Asia Music Festival” started at 5:10 pm on the 20th, and Xue appeared on stage at 10:10 pm to perform a set of four songs.

During his performance of the song “Animal World,” Xue Xue came down from the stage to interact closely with fans, creating a euphoric atmosphere. However, just as the intro to the fifth song played, Xue Xue abruptly stopped and humorously said, “Wait a moment, singing continuously like this, even cows would get tired.”

With limited time available, Xue Xue, known for being talkative, had to focus on singing and reduce the chatting and interaction with fans. Despite his heartfelt explanation to the fans, the entire audience still collectively chanted “refund tickets,” leaving Xue Xue surprised as he exclaimed, “Wow, everyone wants a refund?”

According to reports from Chinese media, the chant for “refund tickets” is actually a kind of inside joke and mutual understanding between Xue Xue and his fans during interactions. In other words, as a playful response, regardless of any unintentional mistakes Xue Xue may make during the concert or any slip of the tongue during interactions with fans, the audience will respond with loud chants of “refund tickets” if they wish to, in a lighthearted manner.
