Shanxi supermarket grand opening, nearly 60 boxes of durians stolen.

Recently, a new supermarket opened in Fenyang, Shanxi Province, where durians were being sold at a low price to attract customers. Unfortunately, some customers took advantage of the situation and opened the durians to eat without paying, resulting in nearly 60 boxes of durians being consumed, leaving the supermarket owner in despair.

According to various reports in the Chinese media, on August 21st, a supermarket named “Fadaojia (Runfengfa)” opened in Lu Liang, Shanxi Fenyang. In order to attract customers, they offered durians at a special price of 9.9 RMB.

Unexpectedly, many customers took it upon themselves to open and eat the durians without paying, and other expensive fruits were also opened or stolen.

From the videos, it can be seen that the scene was chaotic with many durian shells left behind after being opened and eaten at the counter.

Some netizens mentioned that due to the disorderly situation at that time, they couldn’t find anything to buy in the store, affecting their shopping experience.

Some customers also commented that while the supermarket was not unattended, there were simply too many people for the staff to handle, leading to many individuals directly opening and enjoying the fruit without paying. Many expensive fruits were even bitten and discarded on the side. The supermarket owner could only watch helplessly in the crowd, appearing very helpless.

On the 23rd, the “Xiaoxiang Morning News” called the supermarket owner, who mentioned that due to the busy opening, the staff were overwhelmed and lacked experience. After counting, it was discovered that around fifty to sixty boxes of durians were eaten by customers.

Regarding this incident, Chinese netizens have been actively discussing:

“Such lack of quality is distressing, some people are always looking to take advantage, with no intention of changing their bad behavior.”

“Nowadays, people are shamelessly stealing things to eat in supermarkets, replacing weighed items with larger products. This issue must be addressed as it’s a contagious disease. Children learn from adults, so the crime rate is increasing.”

Some netizens also expressed, “Many supermarkets are usually quiet. Why is this newly opened supermarket so popular? How many people must there be to eat up sixty boxes of durians!”
