Shanxi Hongtong County Economic and Technological Development Zone official Zhang Zhijun was exposed to being involved in group solicitation of prostitution during a business trip in Chongqing. After the incident, he was taken away for investigation by relevant departments. Zhang Zhijun himself has admitted to the crime. Local government officials said that Zhang is no longer working and further details need to wait for official notification.
Multiple independent sources have confirmed to the mainland self-media platform “Fa Legal Society” that recently Zhang Zhijun, the secretary of the Party Working Committee and director of the Management Committee of the Hongtong Economic and Technological Development Zone in Shanxi Province, and his group were suspected of engaging in group solicitation of prostitution during a business trip in Chongqing.
Shortly after Zhang Zhijun returned to Shanxi, Chongqing police arrested the woman involved in prostitution. Based on payment information, chat records, and confessions, they traced back to Zhang Zhijun and others.
According to “Fa Legal Society,” a government worker in Hongtong County admitted that Zhang Zhijun is no longer working, and specific details are still pending official notification. When asked whether his being taken away is related to solicitation of prostitution, the official did not provide a direct response.
50-year-old Zhang Zhijun is a native of Hongtong and previously served as a deputy county head. After becoming the head of the Management Committee of the Development Zone, he led teams on multiple business trips to Shanghai, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, and other places for investment inspections.
