Shaanxi College Entrance Exam Student Peng Yuxuan Rescued, Recounts Being Deceived into Myanmar Experience

A 19-year-old high school graduate in Hanzhong, Shaanxi Province, named Peng Yuxuan, who had been missing for nearly half a month, has been found. Myanmar and China are in final negotiations regarding the details of the cross-border handover, after which he will be able to return to China. His parents have already rushed to Yunnan.

According to a video released on the Douyin account “Hello Hanzhong” on July 19th, Peng Yuxuan recounted his entire experience of being deceived into a Myanmar park when questioned by officials from the Wa State Judicial Committee.

Peng Yuxuan stated that after finishing the college entrance exam this year, he planned to find a summer job to earn some pocket money. He searched for job information on a recruitment app. One day, a woman contacted him, saying he had a good appearance and could work as an anchor at their company with high income after some grooming. After hesitating for more than ten days, Peng Yuxuan finally decided to go. Subsequently, the woman transferred travel expenses to him and guided him to Lincang, Yunnan. Upon arriving in Lincang, he boarded a van, was taken to Cangyuan (on the China-Myanmar border), and then was trafficked to Myanmar, going through more than ten vehicle transfers, ultimately being taken to a park.

Peng Yuxuan mentioned that starting the day after he entered the park, he was required to memorize fraudulent scripts. About 4 days later, the park owner found him and, recognizing his young age and academic success, decided to send him back. The next afternoon, he left the park, and a Myanmar soldier drove him to Dangyang City, a journey of approximately five to six hours. Upon arriving in Dangyang City, the Myanmar soldier who accompanied him informed him to find Wa State soldiers, who could ensure his safe return to China.

“They warned me not to make a mistake or approach other soldiers, as they might take me elsewhere,” Peng Yuxuan said. Afraid after disembarking, unsure if what they said was true, he had no choice but to sprint towards a Wa State soldier, seeking help. Fortunately, the soldier was kind, taking him to his home and helping him contact his family. Two days later, he was brought to the Wa State Judicial Committee.

According to the video caption, Peng Yuxuan is currently preparing to return to China, and his parents have already arrived in Yunnan. In the video, Peng Yuxuan appears with a buzz cut.

Reported by Jiemu News, relevant departments in Wa State have completed the information filing and preliminary review of Peng Yuxuan’s materials. Myanmar and China are in final negotiations on the cross-border handover details, after which he will be able to return. A friend of Peng Yuxuan also mentioned that his parents are currently in Yunnan, and his hairstyle before leaving the country was not the buzz cut shown in the video.
