Chuck Schumer, the Majority Leader of the U.S. Senate, informed a journalist from New Tang Dynasty TV that Harris and Waltz would assist Generation Z (born between 1995 and 2009) in purchasing homes.
Harris pledged that if elected president, she would provide $25,000 in down payment support for first-time homebuyers and offer a $10,000 tax credit for first-time home purchasers.
“Harris and Waltz understand your struggles and are offering you $25,000 for a down payment on a new home,” Schumer said. “For those who can afford monthly mortgage payments but struggle to come up with a down payment, we are reaching out to help.”
Political analyst Amisha Cross, speaking to Epoch Times, described the convention as vibrant and truly uplifting.
“I have seen various groups, including young voters, with many coming from the so-called Generation Z,” she said. “This young demographic, Generation Z, is the largest voting group we have.”
“From what Harris has presented and in her recent economic plans, including child tax credits; as well as a pathway for middle-class individuals to achieve homeownership, people have been striving for the American Dream for a long time. It also includes ensuring people can easily access the prescription drugs they need… They will be able to afford the cost of these medications.”
