Second Lady’s Public Appearance Without Wedding Ring Draws Attention, Mans Responds

In a public appearance last month, the Second Lady of the United States, Usha, was photographed without wearing her wedding ring, sparking widespread speculation about the state of her marriage. Vice President Vance responded by calling such gossip “quite comical,” emphasizing that his marriage to Usha remains “as strong and solid as ever.”

Vance tied the knot with Usha in 2014. During an interview with NBC News on Thursday (December 4th) at the White House West Wing office, Vance was asked about his reaction to reports of his wife being spotted without her wedding ring, to which he replied, “We find it rather amusing.”

“Accept both the good and the bad in life,” he said. “You have to accept that some things require sacrifice, but at the same time, there are also some very beautiful rewards.”

“Our marriage remains steadfast and secure,” he added, mentioning how wonderful it is to see Usha gradually adapt and grow into her role as the Second Lady.

Around Vance’s desk are photos of himself, his wife, and their children.

On November 19th, Usha and First Lady Melania visited Camp LeJeune in North Carolina, where Usha was seen without her wedding ring, causing a stir on social media and attracting media attention, leading to rumors about the Vances’ marriage.

Despite the speculation, Usha has been photographed both wearing and not wearing her wedding ring on various occasions.

A spokesperson for the Second Lady stated in a statement to USA TODAY on November 21st, that she is a “mother of three who often washes dishes, bathes the children, and sometimes forgets to wear her wedding ring.”

Vance also shared with NBC an incident from a few days ago when he and Usha hurried back to the White House. At that time, Usha was getting ready to join the First Lady for another event. The Vice President recalled how Usha realized she had left her ring inside after she got into the car.

“She said, ‘Oh, if I don’t go back to get it, some crazy person will definitely blow this up on social media,'” Vance recounted. “My response was, let them do it. It’s not worth going back upstairs to get it. We even found this whole situation quite amusing. We thought it was funny how quickly this spread on social media.”
