Less than a month before Shen Yun kicks off its global tour in 2026, the excitement is palpable in France as the first stop in the tour. Ticket sales are soaring, and audiences are eagerly snatching up their seats for the upcoming performances. Some are so eager to secure their tickets that they don’t mind if they can’t find the perfect seat, while others go as far as sending champagne as a congratulatory gesture upon purchasing their tickets or expressing gratitude through heartfelt letters.
One audience member expressed their gratitude to the French Shen Yun organizing team in a letter, saying: “Thank you for the assistance provided during the ‘chat.’ Today has been a busy day for me as I have been eagerly anticipating booking Shen Yun tickets, especially after missing out on last year’s performance. I seized the opportunity this year and wanted to secure a good seat. After putting in the effort, I finally managed to get my ticket. I used PayPal for payment and purchased insurance. Now, I am just looking forward to experiencing this extraordinary dance journey. I have printed out my ticket and insurance certificate, and now it’s time to go to bed! Because I have to work tomorrow… Thank you again for your help. Everything is now in order. I wish you a sunny and wonderful weekend.”
The Shen Yun Art Troupe’s 2026 global tour is set to debut in France on December 18, with the European tour spanning 15 cities in France, showcasing nearly 100 performances over almost five months, expecting an audience of 250,000 people. As of 9 PM on November 25, close to 190,000 tickets have been sold, with several cities already sold out.
In a recent interview, Rosa, the coordinator of the French Shen Yun ticket hotline, revealed that ticket services are divided into groups such as “hotline telephone,” “live chat,” “group booking,” and “mail services,” with over ten staff members multitasking to handle ticket sales for 15 cities efficiently and courteously.
Being at the forefront of ticket services, Rosa understands that French audiences are eagerly looking forward to watching Shen Yun, and their enthusiasm is growing. She said, “My feeling is that French audiences admire the values of Shen Yun, considering them universal values. They appreciate what the Shen Yun artists are doing.”
Ticket staff member Celine shared, “Two days ago, a lady contacted me wanting to attend a sold-out performance. I replied that some seats were reserved for wheelchair users.” To her surprise, the lady responded, “Okay, we’ll take those seats, thank you.”
Similarly, ticket staff Sandra recounted an incident where a customer wanted tickets for the Lyon show, but only a few undesirable seats were left. However, without hesitation, the customer said, “We’ll take them; we’ve been wanting to see this show for a long time.”
Rosa recalled a touching incident during the ticketing process. During the 2025 tour, they opened ticket sales for 2026 performances. In Nantes, she encountered seven audience members who had bought tickets for 2026 but had come to watch the 2025 show. Initially, Rosa thought they had made a mistake due to the similar dates. One audience member explained, “We couldn’t wait for next year to watch the performance. But you see, your ticket is for 2026, not this year’s show, so I can’t accommodate you. This show is fully booked.” Despite this, they were adamant about watching Shen Yun, showing how important it was for them not to miss it. After some arrangements, they were finally seated, although not together and in less desirable locations.
These are just some of the many heartwarming stories that highlight the dedication and passion of the audience towards experiencing the Shen Yun performances, showcasing the profound impact the art troupe has on people across different walks of life.
