Renowned expert in the field of microwave remote sensing in China, and member of the Chinese Communist Party, Li Chunsheng passed away suddenly during a conference, becoming another suspicious case of a technology expert who died unexpectedly recently.
On May 19, the funeral committee of Li Chunsheng at Beihang University in Beijing released an obituary stating that Li Chunsheng, a member of the Chinese Communist Party, a renowned expert in the field of microwave remote sensing in China, and a professor at the School of Electronics and Information Engineering at Beihang University, passed away on May 17 in Hefei due to illness during an academic conference at the age of 63.
The obituary described Li Chunsheng as a lifelong lover of the Party and the country, but did not mention the cause of his death.
Born in Tianjin in 1963, Li Chunsheng joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1984. He obtained his master’s and doctoral degrees from Beihang University in 1991 and 1998. He started teaching at the university in 1984, became an associate professor in 1993, and a professor in 2005. He had served as a member of the school’s academic committee, vice leader of several core expert groups in the field of microwave remote sensing in China, and the chief scientist of the 973 Program.

The casualties include experts and professors in the technology field, celebrities in the art circle, as well as local administrative officials. According to the official website of Ningxia University, Li Haibo was born in 1984. He currently serves as the deputy director of the Testing and Analysis Center at Ningxia University, a professor specializing in nanomaterials, electrochemistry, optoelectronic materials, and teaches courses on “Semiconductor Materials and Devices.” He has been honored with titles such as “Model of Moral Integrity” at the school and awards like the “Innovative Talent Award” from the China Overseas Chinese Federation.
