“Queen of Tears” Popularity Soars, 14-Year Debut Gold Jiwon Holds Fan Meeting

The popular Korean drama “Queen of Tears” concluded at the end of last month, surpassing the ratings of “Crash Landing on You” starring Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, setting a record for the highest viewership on the tvN television network. The lead actress of the drama, Kim Ji-won, also known as Hong Hae-in in the series, gained immense popularity and announced her first fan meeting.

Kim Ji-won gained attention for her role as Rachel Yoo in the 2013 Korean drama “The Heirs”. In 2016, she starred alongside Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-kyo, and Jin Goo in “Descendants of the Sun”, portraying the role of Lieutenant Yoon Myung-joo, a military doctor, which further boosted her popularity. She later co-starred with Park Seo-joon in “Third-Rate My Way” and appeared in “Asdal Chronicles”, “Love in the City”, and “My Runway Diary”.

Debuting 14 years ago, Kim Ji-won reached new heights of popularity this year with the TV drama “Queen of Tears”, where she played Hong Hae-in, the third-generation heiress of a conglomerate. The drama ended on the 28th of last month, and her management agency announced today that Kim Ji-won would be holding her first fan meeting in her 14-year career.

Kim Ji-won’s fan meeting is named “BE MY ONE”, symbolizing the unity between Kim Ji-won and her fans. The event is scheduled to take place on June 22 at the ShinhanCard SOL Pay Square Live Hall in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

HighZium Studio, Kim Ji-won’s management agency, announced the fan meeting on their official YouTube channel, with Kim Ji-won expressing her excitement, saying, “I’m already thrilled at the thought of being able to interact with my fans up close!” She also stated that she is currently preparing diligently and looks forward to meeting her fans at the fan meeting.
