Qinghai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission Deputy Director Luan Fengjiang under investigation

Qinghai State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission Deputy Director Luan Fengjiang has been placed under investigation, two months after he was given a “serious warning” earlier.

According to the report released by the Qinghai Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision on August 11, Luan Fengjiang, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Qinghai State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Qinghai Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision.

Luan Fengjiang, born in September 1968 in Yexian, Shandong Province, has worked in Qinghai Province for a long time. He has held positions such as Deputy Mayor of Geermu City in Haixi Prefecture, Deputy Secretary and Director of the Cold Lake Working Committee in Haixi Prefecture, Secretary of the Dachaidan Working Committee in Haixi Prefecture, Secretary and Director of the Party Committee for Development and Reform Commission in Haixi Prefecture, Deputy Governor of Haixi Prefecture, and member of the Party Leadership Group of the Qinghai Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, among others.

In 2021, Luan Fengjiang was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Qinghai State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, but now he is under investigation during his tenure.

The Qinghai Daily previously reported that in June this year, due to the disorderly expansion of resource development in the Chaidamu Basin salt lake, exacerbating the ecological and environmental carrying capacity issues, Luan Fengjiang was given a “serious warning.”

It is worth noting that according to a report on the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Supervisory Commission on July 19, the Eleventh Inspection Team of the Central Committee is currently conducting an inspection in Qinghai Province, which is expected to last about two and a half months.
