Popular mainland Chinese actress Yu Shuxin, starring in the drama “Parallel Tracks,” recently wrapped up filming in Thailand. At the wrap-up banquet, Yu Shuxin playfully splashed water on the director’s head, sparking controversy. Some netizens pointed out that Yu Shuxin seemed to have splashed milk tea instead of water. In response to the incident, director Yu Zhongzhong posted a message.

A viral video circulated online shows Yu Shuxin holding a plastic bottle, playfully approaching director Yu Zhongzhong, and splashing water on him when he wasn’t looking, causing laughter among the staff nearby. Due to the slightly murky liquid, some netizens speculated that Yu Shuxin didn’t use water but milk tea for the splash, criticizing the act as disrespectful and causing the hashtag “#YuShuxinSplashesWaterOnDirector” to trend.

Responding to the incident, Taiwanese director Yu Zhongzhong posted on Weibo on March 31st, reassuring the public that it was clean water, saying, “It’s all clean water, everyone can rest assured. Good luck to the success of the new drama.”

According to reports prior, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in Myanmar at 2:20 pm on March 28, with a depth of 10 kilometers. At the time, Yu Shuxin was filming “Parallel Tracks” in Thailand near the earthquake zone.

Public information reveals that 29-year-old Yu Shuxin rose to fame through a music talent show.
