Police: To File Lawsuit on Tuesday, Reveal More Information on Kirk’s Assassination Case

Utah State Police revealed that they will file charges against the suspect who murdered conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Tuesday, September 16, and release “more” investigative information.

Commissioner Beau Mason of the Utah Department of Public Safety disclosed in an interview with CNN on Monday that once the state files charges against Tyler Robinson, the suspect accused of killing Kirk, “more” information about the case is expected to be made public.

“We believe that after filing charges tomorrow, more information will be revealed about the intricate details of this investigation,” said Mason.

Mason refused to disclose any details of the case, stating that he did not want to jeopardize the integrity of the investigation. He mentioned that investigators are still examining the time frame leading up to and following the shooting incident, conducting further interviews to establish any potential connections with other suspects.

FBI Director Kash Patel revealed on Monday that DNA evidence linked Robinson to the scene, matching DNA information obtained from the screwdriver used by the perpetrator and a towel wrapped around the gun.

Additionally, investigators discovered a “note” written by Robinson before the incident, stating that he would seize the opportunity to murder this conservative activist once it presented itself. However, Patel did not disclose specific details.

On September 10, Kirk was attending a campus event at Utah Valley University when he was shot. During the event, when asked about transgender shooters, Kirk remarked that there are “too many” of such shooters. Following this response, Kirk was targeted and shot.

The 31-year-old Kirk was shot in the neck and rushed to a nearby regional hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after. Law enforcement immediately launched a large-scale manhunt for the suspect. Utah authorities announced on September 12 that the suspect was Robinson and that he had been apprehended.
