PLA 22nd aircraft crosses the Taiwan Strait median line, Taiwan military closely monitors and responds

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China stated today that from 6 a.m. on the 9th until 6 a.m. this morning, Chinese Communist military aircraft have crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait 22 times. The national defense forces have been closely monitoring and handling the situation appropriately through joint intelligence surveillance means.

The Chinese Communist Party has not abandoned the use of force against Taiwan and almost daily dispatches military aircraft and ships to provoke Taiwan. The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China announced on the 9th that the daily publication of activities of People’s Liberation Army aircraft entering the vicinity of the Taiwan Strait is aimed at showing the patterns of Chinese Communist military activities.

Today, the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China released information on the activities of Chinese Communist military aircraft and ships around the Taiwan Strait from 6 a.m. on the 9th to 6 a.m. this morning, detecting 28 instances of Chinese Communist military aircraft (including crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entering the southwestern and eastern airspace 22 times) and 10 instances of military vessels, continuing their activities around the Taiwan Strait.

The defense forces stated that they are closely monitoring and handling the situation using aircraft, ships, and ground-based missile systems.

According to the Ministry of National Defense, on the 9th from 7:08 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the national defense forces detected 15 instances of Chinese Communist main and support aircraft and drones in the Taiwan Strait airspace, with 9 instances crossing the median line, some of which were about 82 nautical miles from Keelung, and others crossing the median line were approximately 158 nautical miles from Gueishan.

Moreover, on the 9th from 8:07 a.m. to 9:45 p.m., in the southwestern airspace of Taiwan, the national defense forces detected 12 instances of Chinese Communist main and support aircraft about 79 nautical miles from Gueishan. Additionally, from 4:24 p.m. to 7:04 p.m. on the 9th, a helicopter was detected in the eastern airspace of Taiwan, approximately 62 nautical miles from Taitung.
