Photo Series Ten: Spectacular Performances by Contestants of the NTDTV Martial Arts Competition

On the afternoon of September 2, 2024, in Waldwick, New Jersey, the 8th NTD World Chinese Traditional Martial Arts Competition hosted a spectacular martial arts exhibition that received rounds of applause after the competition concluded.

From August 31 to September 2, 85 participants from 11 countries and regions gathered together to showcase their years of martial arts skills. In the end, 2 gold medals, 11 silver medals, 41 bronze medals, 14 excellent awards, 2 outstanding newcomer awards, and 10 awards for contribution to inheritance were awarded.

Most of the performers in the martial arts exhibition that day were award-winning athletes. Despite coming from different countries and regions, they all shared a common goal – to promote Chinese virtues through martial arts and to continue the inheritance and promotion of the essence of Chinese martial arts culture.

The participants in the martial arts exhibition included: performances of mantis fist group training by Gao Yuhong, Liang Xuanlun, Yang Enshuo, and Yang Enrui from Xiushan Martial Arts Society; Lin Qixian and Luo Kaiwei from the Chinese Sumo Crane Association demonstrating “two steps, four steps, five steps, four steps, five steps linking strikes” in a double performance; and teams such as the Taiwan Martial Arts Gung Fu Cultural Association, the American Victory Kung Fu Academy, the Heart Martial Arts Quan Society, the Wald Cultural Center, and the Renaissance University showcasing group training routines.
