On September 13, the 11th NTD Television “World Chinese Classical Dance Competition” entered its third day of competition, with 73 contestants making it to the semifinals participating in that day’s events.
Chinese classical dance is not just a form of dance art, but also embodies the spiritual essence of Chinese five thousand years of culture. This year’s Chinese classical dance competition showcased the essence of Chinese culture over five thousand years with a diverse range of performances. The repertoire of the young women’s group focused on delicate emotions and poetic imagery, showcasing women’s profound insights into life. Works such as “Radiance of Time”, “Remembering the Past”, “Memories of Hometown”, and “Spring Station” depicted nostalgic reflections on bygone times, family ties, and homeland; while pieces like “Clouds Drift, Clouds Scatter”, “Tranquil Heart”, “Spring Makeup”, and “Morning Rain and Evening Spring” used natural imagery to convey inner emotional states, showcasing women’s keen sensitivity and inner peace towards life.
Additionally, pieces such as “Ambition in the Dark”, “Knowing Unstained Heart”, “Perseverance”, and “Eternal Light” highlighted the spiritual pursuits and perseverance of young women in adversity; “Unwavering Loyalty and Filial Piety” and “1948” placed women in historical settings, demonstrating their steadfast and unyielding character amidst turbulent times. “Sword Courage, Zither Heart”, “A Spray of Plum Blossoms”, “Dreaming by the Mysterious Light”, “Radiant Beauty Imprints”, and “Dance Charm of Peach Blossom” displayed a harmonious blend of strength and softness, showcasing the dual qualities of emotion and aspiration in women.
