Photo Gallery: Taiwan’s Version of Disneyland – Chiayi’s “Ola Volo Dream Castle”

Photographer Song Yongtai from Taiwan mentioned that since the trial operation of “Castle of Dreams by Eurhope” in Dali Township, Chiayi County on August 1st, it has become a popular new tourist destination, dubbed as the “Taiwanese version of Disneyland”, attracting crowds of people and becoming a popular spot for photo shoots.

According to Song Yongtai, they recently drove to Chiayi County to visit the “Castle of Dreams by Eurhope”, which is divided into three main themed areas: “Maya Story”, “Castle of Dreams”, and “Provence Town”. Among them, the “Maya Story” is the birthplace of cocoa, not just a pure display of Maya culture, but themed around a cocoa factory to introduce visitors to the beauty of cocoa chocolate.

The “Castle of Dreams” creates a fairytale atmosphere with its surrounding environment. Song Yongtai mentioned that during their visit to “Castle of Dreams by Eurhope”, they had the chance encounter the founders Mao Ronghai and Qiu Yuyi, learning that after ten years of ups and downs due to the pandemic, they finally fulfilled their childhood dream of jointly creating a dreamy castle.

He noted that the “Provence Town” is covered with bricks all over the ground, resembling the European charm. If you’ve been to Italy, France, and many other European countries, the streets are all made up of laid bricks.

Song Yongtai remarked that the overall design of “Castle of Dreams by Eurhope” flows smoothly, making it convenient for visitors to explore and take photos in the park. The architectural craftsmanship is exquisite, suitable for photography enthusiasts to savor.

He also shared that the castle park area is compact, with a simple photography layout, making it suitable for photography enthusiasts to use natural light and angles to create rich compositions. Additionally, he emphasized that the accumulation of photography skills and aesthetics requires long-term cultivation. Many good photos require patience to wait for the right lighting and scenes during shooting, as well as utilizing techniques like borrowing positions to enhance the depth of the image.
