On August 2nd and 3rd, 2025, the “American Barbecue Championship and BBQ Festival” co-hosted by Great Events USA and New Century was held at the New Century company in the Hudson River Valley region of Orange County, New York State. This event is currently the only professional barbecue competition and food festival in New York State certified by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS).
The competition this year attracted 50 professional barbecue teams from across the United States, including 8 teams that have previously won world championship titles. Over 100 professionally certified judges from KCBS were also present to ensure the fairness and professionalism of the competition.
As one of America’s beloved culinary traditions, barbecue events not only involve competitive aspects but also serve as a festive gathering for families and communities. The organizers expressed their hope that through this event, they can further enhance connections with the local community and provide people with a summer weekend experience that combines food and music.
