On September 13th, the 11th NTD Television “Global Chinese Classical Dance Competition” entered its third day of competition, with 73 contestants who made it to the semi-finals participating in the day’s events.
Chinese classical dance is not just a form of artistic expression, but also carries the spiritual essence of China’s five thousand years of culture. This year’s Chinese classical dance competition showcased the essence of Chinese culture with a diverse range of performances. The repertoire for the young female division centered around poetry and imagery, showcasing the unique grace and inner emotions of Chinese classical dance. Works such as “Yearning for Spring,” “Early February at the Tip of the Bean Pole,” and “Fragrance of Hundred Flowers” depicted the emotions of young girls and the changing seasons with dance movements resembling flowers in mist, conveying profound and subtle emotions. Meanwhile, pieces like “Strolling Alone in the Fragrant Path of a Small Garden” and “Turning at the Brook Bridge” reflected the tranquility of mountains and waters mirroring the inner world of women, displaying the delicate emotional layers and the serene beauty of Eastern aesthetics.
Additionally, “Zhao Jun Beyond the Great Wall” embodied history and belief, showcasing the feminine power that combines gentleness with strength. On the other hand, pieces like “Moon Reflected in a Mirror Like Water” “Ethereal Figures in the Flowing Light” and “Dreams Sent by the Mysterious Candle” conveyed philosophical thoughts about time and life.
