Performance Coincides With Mother’s Day, Xiao Huangqi Confesses to His Mother: Don’t Worry in the Next Life

“King of Golden Melody” Jam Hsiao held his “Good Show” concert at Huashan Legacy in Taipei yesterday, coinciding with Mother’s Day. Hsiao jokingly said at the beginning of the show that he could only sing until 7:30 pm at the latest because many people had to go for Mother’s Day dinners.

The focus of this concert was on performing new songs from his latest works. Hsiao sang new songs such as “It’s Okay,” “Just Loneliness,” and “Good Show.” During the performance of “Good Show,” Hsiao invited his niece on stage to dance with him, and the “aboriginal beauty” from the music video made a surprise appearance, getting the whole crowd dancing and singing along.

Recently, the music video for “It’s Okay” was released, in which Hsiao joked, “This time I played the role of a driver in it. After the show, you can take a ride back with me, it’s okay.” He lightheartedly entertained the audience.

The concert happened to coincide with Mother’s Day, and when Hsiao mentioned it, he immediately announced, “Let’s make it clear, we can only go until 7:30 pm today! Our musicians and teachers on stage all need to go for Mother’s Day dinner.”

In honor of Mother’s Day, he prepared a special “Mom Suite,” including a medley of 5 songs like “Listen to Mom,” “Mom is a Star,” “Mom, please take care too,” “Swing the Peach Blossom,” and “Let Mom Dance a Bit.”

Hsiao revealed that his own mother was present at the concert that day. He emotionally expressed, “From my debut when my mom used to dress me in raincoats and suits for performances, to now being a great-grandmother, I’m really grateful for her sacrifices. Without her, there would be no Jam Hsiao. Please give my mom the biggest round of applause!” He then dedicated the song “Mother’s Ballad” to the mothers in the audience, declaring during the song, “With a son by your side, you don’t have to worry in the next life! Happy Mother’s Day!”

The evening concluded with Hsiao’s performance of “You Are My Eyes,” where he thanked everyone for their continuous support and assistance.
