Passengers Fight on Southern Airlines Flight, “Little Brat” Mother’s Comments Spark Controversy.

On the evening of August 7th, a fight broke out among passengers on Southern Airlines flight CZ6164 from Shenzhen to Dalian due to a child kicking the seat in front of them. A video of the incident went viral online, with the child’s mother defending him by saying, “He’s just a child, you’re going too far,” sparking heated discussions on social media.

According to reports from media outlets such as Southern Metropolis Daily and Beijing News, the altercation occurred after the plane landed in Dalian following its flight from Shenzhen. A young boy on the flight had been kicking the seat in front of him, despite warnings from the female passenger sitting there. The situation escalated when the boy deliberately bumped into the woman as he walked past her, causing her to lose her headphones. After the plane landed, a physical altercation ensued between the two, resulting in the woman being surrounded and attacked by a family of four.

In the video footage, the female passenger can be seen sitting in the aisle of the aircraft, yelling, “Call the police, call the police, he pushed me.” The boy’s mother defended him by stating, “He’s just a child, you’re going too far.” The incident attracted a crowd of onlookers, with some passengers trying to intervene and stop the altercation.

The video of the incident sparked widespread public attention and Southern Airlines staff confirmed to the media that the incident did occur, with the authorities getting involved.

Flight CZ6164 departed from Shenzhen Bao’an Airport at 5 p.m. on August 7th and arrived at Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport at 7:59 p.m.

The mother of the “misbehaving child” stirring up controversy with her statement, “He’s just a child, you’re going too far,” resulted in various reactions online:

“He’s just a child! Classic line of the bear-like parents!”

“He’s just a child, but he’s not an orphan…”

“I hate this phrase.”

“If parents don’t discipline their children, others will step in when parents are not around. If you keep excusing them as ‘just children,’ they’ll become more brazen.”

“Strict punishment is necessary as a deterrent. If things are brushed off, more children will behave recklessly in the future…”

“There must be bear-like parents for bear-like children, and there’s more than one of them.”

In recent years, due to the lack of traditional moral education under the rule of the Chinese Communist Party, similar incidents have become increasingly common.

On July 21st at 6 p.m., AirAsia flight D7326 from Kuala Lumpur Airport in Malaysia to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport had a passenger conflict onboard, causing a commotion as captured in a video. Passengers were involved in a heated argument and physical altercation in the dimly lit cabin just before the plane landed, leading to chaos. The video quickly spread on social media and sparked discussions.

Some netizens revealed that the passengers involved were arguing in Sichuan dialect. A comment in the forum mentioned that the conflict arose about half an hour before landing when “one person asked the other to speak more quietly, probably with a rude tone, which led to a confrontation.”

One passenger on the same flight shared their experience, saying, “First time witnessing a fight on a plane, started with an argument and then physical violence. It’s nerve-wracking at ten thousand meters in the air.”

The passengers involved were taken away by the police upon landing. On July 22, the Airport Public Security Bureau of Sichuan Provincial Public Security Department confirmed to the media that the incident indeed took place.
