October Toronto Fall Kimchi Festival Returns

People talk about kimchi, think about kimchi, and enjoy kimchi with happiness, laughter, and joy. This autumn, Toronto’s largest pickle festival – Henderson’s Picklefest – is set to make a grand return, paying homage to this city’s most beloved snack.

The pickle festival, spanning 2 days, brings two major fermented delicacies that can be bought with money: pickles and beer. Over 50 pickle vendors will offer a variety of pickles and fermented beverages, as well as pickle-inspired cocktails, and a local market featuring crafts, food, and pickles.

Adin Wener, co-founder of Henderson Brewing, expressed that the fermentation process captivates craft beer enthusiasts, and the smiles on people’s faces when talking about pickles are endlessly charming.

At this year’s pickle festival, the “Show Us Your Pickle” competition will debut, inviting home pickle masters to showcase their pickle creations, with the winner being awarded the title of “the Big Dill.”

Among the pickle companies confirmed to attend the festival are Alchemy Pickle, Big D’s Pickle Shack, Cheeky Pickles Co., Dill Dough, Dill-usional, Marty’s Pickles, Pickled Goodness Foods, Romi’s, Salt + Mustard, Switzers, and Woof Dawg.

The Picklefest will run from October 5th to 6th, from 10 am to 7 pm, at Henderson Brewing Company. Tickets are priced at $15 and can be purchased on the Henderson Brewing Company website.
