Obama campaigns for Hillary Clinton in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania targeting young voters.

Former U.S. President Barack Obama will appear at a rally in Pittsburgh on Thursday (October 10th) to support Vice President Kamala Harris, aiming to mobilize young people to support the Democratic presidential candidate and encourage them to vote for her in the election on November 5th.

This event in Pittsburgh is the first of several rallies that Obama plans to hold across key states in the coming weeks to support Harris. The rally will take place at the University of Pittsburgh.

At the same time, Harris will be holding a campaign event in Nevada.

Obama ended his presidency in 2017. In July of this year, President Joe Biden withdrew from the election, leading to Harris becoming the Democratic Party’s nominated presidential candidate. Since then, Obama has been a steadfast supporter of her.

Obama remains popular within the party.

Obama’s advisor, Eric Schultz, stated that in the speech scheduled to begin around 7:15 p.m. Eastern Time, Obama will emphasize the unique advantages that Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, possess in leading the U.S. at the present moment.

Schultz mentioned, “He will also discuss the significant risks and implications of President Trump’s re-election.”

In August, Obama and his wife Michelle delivered inspiring speeches at the Democratic National Convention, showing their support for Harris. Former First Lady Michelle Obama is expected to further campaign for Harris.

Harris was an early supporter of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, and he helped her behind the scenes to become the party’s frontrunner in 2024, encouraging her to recruit talent to support her campaign, which she has indeed done.

Furthermore, former President Clinton has also joined Harris’s campaign efforts, embarking on a bus tour to engage with rural voters in Georgia on Sunday and Monday before heading to North Carolina.

Various polls indicate a tight race between Harris and Trump, with winning Pennsylvania possibly being the key to winning the White House.

Meanwhile, young men are being swayed by Trump, with prominent conservative influencers like Adin Ross, Andrew Tate, and Joe Rogan playing crucial roles.

It is expected that young voters will play a pivotal role in the election in November, with about 40.8 million Gen Z individuals eligible to vote this year. As young women increasingly adopt progressive views and engage more in politics, young men hold more conservative views on issues related to politics, gender, and family.
