Hollywood superstar Nicole Kidman and country singer Keith Urban’s eldest daughter, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, has officially entered the entertainment industry. Despite being a 17-year-old second-generation star attracting attention, she was only allowed to debut after complying with two family rules, demonstrating her independence by emphasizing, “I don’t want to rely on my parents’ fame, I want to rely on myself.”
Sunday Rose gave an interview to the American fashion magazine “Nylon” on August 6, sharing her growth and dreams in the entertainment industry. She admitted that there are many assumptions about her family background from the outside world, but she personally does not want to depend on the celebrity aura. She revealed that when peers meet her, they usually have no idea about her family background, which allows her to leave a first impression based on herself, rather than relying on her family.
Having turned 17 this year, Sunday Rose disclosed that her parents have set clear rules for her entry into the industry since she was young. Specifically, “There are two very important rules. The first is that I cannot engage in any fashion or entertainment work before the age of 16; the second is that academics always come first.”
Initially, Sunday Rose admitted that she disliked these rules, feeling frustrated that she couldn’t freely pursue her dreams. However, looking back now, she is grateful for these rules. She appreciates her parents’ arrangement, which has helped her maintain a positive mindset.
In fact, Nicole Kidman has previously mentioned her daughters’ growth in interviews. During the filming of the series “Nine Perfect Strangers” season two, her daughters accompanied her to Austria for the shoot. “They loved it there, skiing during the day, while I commuted from the ski lodge to the set for work.” However, when asked if the children were curious about being on the filming set, Nicole Kidman confessed, “Actually, they didn’t particularly want to come and see.”
In addition to daughter Sunday Rose, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban also have a 14-year-old daughter, Faith Margaret. Nicole Kidman, who starred in “The Babygirl,” is also the mother of daughter Bella Kidman Cruise and son Connor Cruise, whom she adopted during her 10-year marriage to Hollywood star Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001.
