News: Apple plans to release iPhone 16 on September 10

Apple is planning its largest product launch event of the year on September 10, as reported by Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the matter. The event will feature the latest editions of iPhone, iWatch, and AirPods.

The insiders revealed that Apple is gearing up for the upcoming event, but due to the confidential nature of the plans, they prefer to remain anonymous. The new products are set to hit the shelves starting September 20.

Apple declined to comment on the matter.

This launch event holds significant importance for Apple, as sales of smartphones and wearable devices have been sluggish in recent quarters.

The release of the new iPhone 16 on September 20 will contribute to the revenue for the current quarter (Apple’s fourth fiscal quarter), with an anticipated sales growth of about 5% compared to the same period last year.

Analysts predict a 7% revenue growth for Apple in the fourth quarter, reaching $128.4 billion.

It is reported that the Pro model of the iPhone 16 will come with a larger screen and new camera features, such as a dedicated button for taking photos. The company will also introduce an “Apple Intelligence” suite of artificial intelligence tools. Overall, the new smartphone will not differ significantly from last year’s model.

Meanwhile, Apple’s wearable devices will undergo significant changes. The Apple Watch Series 10 model will be thinner but with a larger screen.

Apple is revamping its AirPods product line, introducing new low-end and mid-range products. The company will offer noise-canceling functionality for the first time on the mid-range AirPods, and the entry-level model will also see its first update since 2019.

The company also plans to transition the Mac 16 to the M4 processor later this year, although Mac updates are typically announced about a month after the new iPhone models are released.

According to Bloomberg, Apple will launch a smaller Mac mini, new MacBook Pro, and upgraded iMac with the M4 chip later this year.
