The New York Taiwan Center has been dedicated to providing quality Chinese language teaching and cultural experiences for the local community since the establishment of the Taiwan Mandarin Learning Center in December 2021. Recently, the center was awarded the highest honor in the 2023 evaluation, being recognized as one of the best Taiwan Mandarin learning centers.
The performance evaluation was reviewed by the Overseas Community Affairs Council of Taiwan, and the Taiwan Center stood out in this selection for its active promotion of Mandarin language education with Taiwan characteristics, excellent teaching quality, diverse course content, and a friendly and enthusiastic teaching administrative team.
Wang Yuqi, Deputy Director of the New York Chinese Culture and Education Center, stated, “The Taiwan Center has complete facilities and is the first TCML established in New York City, marking a milestone. Teachers are dedicated to teaching, and the number of students is gradually increasing, which is a commendable achievement.”
Yunqi Wu, manager of the New York Taiwan Center, mentioned that this achievement not only affirms the team at the center but also recognizes their Mandarin teachers. They are committed to providing quality service, with teachers having over 20 years of teaching experience, ensuring that students can achieve the best learning outcomes under excellent teaching guidance. The New York Taiwan Center will continue to strive to provide outstanding Chinese language education to the local community and continuously work to improve teaching quality to meet students’ expectations.
In addition to the good news, the Taiwan Center is currently enrolling students for its 2024 summer and fall courses. The summer courses will offer unique “Thematic Chinese Language Courses” and two fun and interesting “Cultural Workshops,” teaching students how to make Taiwanese shaved ice and carve prints. The fall courses will continue the teaching tradition, creating a more in-depth 12-week learning journey.
