“New York Orange County Airport ‘Sky Spot’ Airshow Offers Close-up Views of Fighter Jets Soaring the Skies”

Over the past weekend, the “Air Dot Show” aviation exhibition was held at Orange County Airport in New York State. This two-day air military aircraft exhibition returned to this location for the second time since the pandemic.

The clear sky and warm weather provided excellent conditions for the aviation event, attracting tens of thousands of spectators. From the P-51 Lightning fighter plane of World War II to the modern F-22 Raptor fighter, the air show showcased nearly a century of aerial military power.

Highlights of the first day’s performances included the MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, the interception demonstration by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the U.S. Military Academy Parachute Team, and the B-25J Mitchell bomber stationed in the air. This aircraft, used by Jimmy Doolittle for the Tokyo raid during World War II, along with the classic C-47, which played key roles in the Normandy landings and the Berlin Airlift, were warmly welcomed by the audience for their rich historical significance.

In addition to flying performances, the event featured military outreach units and organizational booths. Attendees were able to get up close to the aircraft, even stepping into the cockpit to experience the awe of crossing through time.

The Air Dot Show aviation exhibition is a modernized touring airshow that combines large aviation events with outdoor festival elements. Highlighted by multiple military flight demonstration teams, the event also included pilot interviews and live music performances, creating an engaging experience for fans.

Established in 2019, Hudson Flight, where 21 military aircraft performed a historic flyover of the Statue of Liberty, is a touring organization that organizes events around the world, showcasing various performers and aircraft.
