This film festival selected winners for 20 awards including Best Actor and Actress in feature-length films, Best Supporting Actor and Actress, as well as Best Actor and Actress in short films.

Two years since the inaugural New Century Film Festival, the realm of New Century cinema and television has not slowed down, continuously producing films of various genres and styles. Many new actors have rapidly grown, with the Best Supporting Actors of this festival, Liu Ming and Bi Jinlong, shining as emerging stars; seasoned actors have also matured and gained more love from audiences worldwide.

Feng Xiaoya, who won Best Actress with “New Actors Dream,” expressed her astonishment at winning three Best Actress awards in the same week, including two from American film festivals for the films “City of Wind and Clouds” and “New Actors Dream.” She described it as a miracle and found encouragement and reaffirmation of her path in these accolades. Feng Xiaoya concluded her speech with a quote from the film, “I must continue on the path I have chosen.”

Zhao Zhenru, the lead actress of the feature film “Memories,” is a veteran actress in New Century cinema and has been part of the journey since its inception, emphasizing the significance of the awards from the New Century Film Festival. She believes the awards remind her to cherish the opportunities in New Century cinema, as each film conveys the universal values of “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance,” making her work meaningful.

Two Best Actor awards for feature-length films were also presented, with one going to Jin Sheng, the lead actor in the film “House for Sale.” He stressed the importance of one’s choices, stating that choosing the direction is crucial, and hard work is equally significant. He expressed gratitude for choosing New Century cinema and thanked it for choosing him, urging everyone to remember such moments and work together to create more and better films.

She highlighted Best Supporting Actors in feature-length films, Liu Ming and Bi Jinlong, as rising stars. She believes that the festival marks a phase of reflection and a new beginning, anticipating that each award recipient will turn their honors into motivation for greater achievements in filmmaking.
