New Film Superstitious About Love, Grace Yip Deliberately Speaks Gently to Enhance Feminine Charm

Xinying Xie, following “The Freak,” once again collaborated with director Mingyi Liao and Bao-Hong Lin on the new film “Love’s Nightmare.” Her role this time is more feminine and even superstitious, adding a mysterious and eerie feeling to the movie. Outside of the film, she admitted to being superstitious herself, believing that if her partner secretly prays for peace, it can be considered caring.

“Love’s Nightmare” is director Mingyi Liao’s new film challenge shot on an iPhone once again, starring Bao-Hong Lin, Xinying Xie, Jieran Xiang, Aixuan Lin (Dayuan), Zhiqing Wu (Daifei), and Xuan Huang, scheduled to be released nationwide on July 12.

In the film, Xinying Xie plays “Yuli Heize,” a well-known beautiful photographer in the online world, with a gentle and independent personality. She is attentive and reasonable in dealing with her partner.

However, Xinying Xie is more straightforward in private. To portray this very feminine role, she revealed that she practiced specially before shooting. “I deliberately try to maintain a more ladylike demeanor in speech and action, like sitting straight, walking slower, speaking more gently to enhance my feminine charm.”

Xinying Xie’s character, Yuli Heize, is an ideal partner, but still puts a lot of effort into maintaining the relationship, including secretly seeking help from a master by going alone, without Bao-Hong Lin in the film knowing.

She mentioned a time long ago when things didn’t go smoothly while filming. She first had a kidney inflammation, which caused a high white blood cell count, and had to be hospitalized for a few days. Later on set, her finger was injured, bones cracked, feeling as if she had been “cursed,” so she went to a temple to pray, handling it like her character did this time.

If in reality, she discovered her partner secretly seeking the blessing of the gods, Xinying Xie, when asked how she would react, said: “I would first ask what they were praying for. If it is for peace and blessings, I would consider the person very considerate.”
