The annual “National Night Out Against Crime” will take place on August 6th (Tuesday) across the United States. In New York City, various precincts of the NYPD will engage with the community at over 70 locations, offering activities such as barbecues, bounce houses, face painting, food, gifts, and more to strengthen police-civilian relationships.
“National Night Out Against Crime” is an annual community-building event aimed at fostering partnership between the police and the community to create safer neighborhoods with a greater sense of care. It seeks to enhance the relationship between residents and law enforcement agencies to collectively build secure communities.
According to the announcement by the NYPD, the details of the crime-fighting events in the precincts of Queens are as follows:
• 102nd Precinct in Woodhaven: From 5 pm to 8 pm at Victory Field located at the intersection of Myrtle Street and Woodhaven Avenue.
• 103rd Precinct in Jamaica: From 5 pm to 9 pm at Rufus King Park at the junction of 89th Avenue and 150th Street.
• 104th Precinct in Middle Village: From 5:30 pm to 7 pm at Juniper Valley Park at the intersection of 80th Street and Juniper Avenue.
• 105th Precinct in Queens Village: From 5 pm to 9 pm at Queens County Farm Museum on Little Neck Parkway 73-50.
• 106th Precinct in Ozone Park: From 6 pm to 9 pm at Public School 146 located at the intersection of 98th Street and 159th Avenue.
• 107th Precinct in Fresh Meadows: From 7 pm to 10 pm, the public is welcome at the Electchester Shopping Center on Parsons Boulevard 70-63.
• 108th Precinct in Long Island City: From 5 pm to 8 pm at Andrew Grove Ballfield at Hunter’s Point on 49th Avenue (between Vernon Avenue and 5th Street).
• 109th Precinct in Flushing: From 5 pm to 8 pm at Bowne Playground at the intersection of Barclay Avenue and Union Street in Flushing.
• 110th Precinct in Corona: From 5 pm to 8 pm at the carousel in Flushing Meadows Corona Park at the intersection of 51st Avenue and 111th Street.
• 111th Precinct in Bayside: From 6 pm to 9 pm at Douglaston Shopping Center on 61st Avenue 242-02.
• 112th Precinct in Forest Hills: From 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at MacDonald Park on Queens Boulevard 106-06.
• 113th Precinct in Springfield Gardens: From 4 pm to 8 pm at Baisley Pond Park between Baisley Boulevard and 157th Street in Springfield Gardens.
• 114th Precinct in Astoria: From 5 pm to 8 pm at the large lawn in Astoria Park between 19th Street and Hoyt Avenue.
• 115th Precinct in Jackson Heights: From 6 pm to 9 pm at Northern Playground across Northern Boulevard and 93rd Street.
