Multiple villages in Yulin, Guangxi engulfed by spreading mountain fire, open flames approaching residential houses.

On the evening of April 15th, a sudden wildfire broke out in Zhusha Village and Dangzhou Village in Maizuo Town, Yulin, Guangxi, rapidly spreading and at one point approaching residential homes.

According to a report by “The New Beijing News,” Chen Piquan, the secretary of the Communist Party branch in Zhusha Village, Maizuo Town, Yulin, stated that the fire spread from other villages to Zhusha Village, with flames coming close to the houses of residents in the village. It wasn’t until around 3 a.m. on the 16th that the fire was finally extinguished. Currently, residents closer to the fire site have been evacuated, while firefighting personnel are guarding and clearing the remaining embers within the town, with the cause of the fire under investigation.

A netizen from Guangxi posted a video, mentioning the drought and lack of rainfall in Guangxi that triggered the fire. Another netizen in the comments section of the video shared a photo stating, “One mountain is gone! This is our area.”

Another netizen posted a video, expressing that the wildfire near their home had been burning for two days and nights, growing increasingly intense with time.
