In a miraculous twist of fate, a woman from Jiangxi miraculously survived a fall from the 12th floor, sparking public attention and landing on the hot search list on May 21st. The woman recounted the details of the incident, expressing gratitude for her unbelievable survival, attributing it to divine favor.
According to reports from Guangming Online on May 21st, on May 13th, Peng Huifang from Leping, Jiangxi, experienced a harrowing journey from near death to survival. Around noon that day, while sealing a balcony for a client in a residential complex in Leping City, she accidentally fell from the 12th floor but miraculously survived the fall.
Currently, Peng Huifang is undergoing treatment at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University and is scheduled for a second surgery.
Reflecting on the incident of the fall from the 12th floor a few days ago, Peng Huifang still carries a sense of fear in her heart but is amazed at her stroke of luck, repeatedly expressing gratitude for being watched over by heaven.
Peng Huifang, 44, works as a cleaner at a factory, while her husband runs a door and window shop locally.
On the afternoon of May 13th, Peng Huifang’s husband had gone to a new residential complex in Leping to seal a balcony for a client. Peng Huifang was called over by her husband to help out suddenly. The couple planned to use a hoist to lift the windows from downstairs to the 12th floor. Peng Huifang mentioned that the windows were quite heavy, weighing a few hundred catties, and many window shops use a specialized hoist to deliver windows to customers’ homes.
While Peng Huifang’s husband was securing the windows downstairs and giving instructions, she was inside the client’s house on the 12th floor operating the remote control.
Suddenly, an accident occurred as the hoisted window began to ascend slowly. Peng Huifang recalled that the window, halfway up in the air, was possibly caught by a tree and then suddenly plummeted, dragging the hoist down with tremendous force. Holding the wired remote control, Peng Huifang, who didn’t react in time, couldn’t throw away the remote control and was “flung” out of the window along with the hoist.
As she was operating the machine, Peng Huifang thought she had some distance between herself and the balcony, and thus didn’t fasten the safety rope around herself as required. The entire force dragged her out of the window.
She plummeted rapidly with the hoist, and just before hitting the ground, Peng Huifang first hit the car shed below, breaking through it, and then landed on the ground. It was this car shed that saved her from the clutches of death, allowing her to escape miraculously.
Peng Huifang was rushed to the hospital by an ambulance and later transferred to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University for emergency treatment that night.
She suffered a compound fracture in her right leg, a bone crack in her left leg, and a displaced bone crack in her waist. After the surgery, she began to feel excruciating pain, unable to sleep properly due to the constant pain.
After days of treatment, Peng Huifang’s medical expenses have exceeded over 70,000 yuan. She expressed her greatest concern now is the substantial cost of treatment. Currently, the entire family is raising funds to cover the medical expenses.
