Melania Talks About Publishing Memoir: Responsibility to Clarify Facts

Former US First Lady Melania Trump announced in a preview video released on Thursday (September 5th) that she is publishing a memoir to clarify some facts. In the video posted on social media, Melania expressed her sense of responsibility to set the record straight, citing the constant public scrutiny and distortions she faces despite valuing her privacy. She emphasized the importance of sharing her perspective and the truth.

Melania’s debut memoir, simply titled “Melania,” is set to be released to the public on October 1st. As of August 26th, the book’s pre-order volume has already ranked at the top of several bestseller lists on Amazon.

In the video released on Thursday, Melania described the process of writing the memoir as a profound personal and reflective journey. She previously told Fox News that the memoir-writing experience has been an amazing and emotionally charged journey that shaped her into who she is today through a series of stories.

Her office released a statement in late July saying that “Melania” tells a powerful and inspiring story of a woman who paved her own way, overcame adversity, and defined personal achievements. The memoir reportedly contains personal stories and family photos that Melania has never shared with the public.

Melania, aged 54, a former model, married former President Trump in 2005 and is a mother to their son Barron Trump. The 18-year-old Barron recently started his college journey by enrolling at New York University as a freshman.

According to the press release, “Melania” is being published by Skyhorse Publishing and will be available in two versions – a “Collector’s Edition” and a “Memoir Edition.” The “Collector’s Edition” features full-color printing with an author-signed copy priced at $150, while the “Memoir Edition” is priced at $40 or $75 for a signed copy, and includes 48 pages of never-before-seen public photos.
