Melania: If I Become First Lady Again, I Will Focus on One Thing

Former US First Lady Melania Trump is working hard to promote unity among Americans and has stated that if her husband, former President Trump, wins the presidential election in November, the “safety and well-being” of Americans will be one of her top priorities.

In an interview aired on Friday, April 19, by Fox News Digital, Melania was asked about her plans for her second term as First Lady if Trump returns to the White House.

“The safety and well-being of American families remain my top priority,” Melania replied. “Our children are the future leaders and innovators of tomorrow.”

“We need to provide the highest level of care for the next generation; ensuring that they not only thrive but also reach their full potential,” she said. “In this way, our country will continue for generations to come.”

Melania launched the “Be Best” initiative in 2018 to support children’s development. As First Lady, she hosted roundtable discussions on foster care issues and focused on strengthening children’s welfare systems.

She also collaborated with legislators and members of Congress to ensure funding for teenagers and young adults in foster care households, assisting them with college, vocational school, or training expenses. The bill was eventually signed by then-President Trump in December 2020.

After leaving the White House, the former First Lady created a special edition of Non-Fungible Tokens to fund her “Fostering the Future” initiative, ensuring that children in foster communities have access to educational opportunities and scholarships.

“We must come together to build a society where equality is the daily experience of every American,” Melania said.

“We must collectively nurture and defend the seeds of freedom,” she continued. “Because once we succeed, America will be a great place where everyone can practice their beliefs, share new ideas, and express individualism – that’s when we are at our best.”

Trump and Melania will hold fundraising events in different states on Saturday. This marks Melania’s rare participation in Trump’s campaign activities.

Since Trump launched his presidential campaign in November 2022, Melania has maintained a low profile. On March 19, she and Trump attended the Republican presidential primary vote in Florida and hinted at the possibility of returning to the spotlight as the presidential election nears.

When asked by a reporter if she would rejoin Trump’s campaign, the former First Lady smiled and said, “Stay tuned.”

During an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press last year, Trump mentioned that Melania will appear in campaign activities “at the right time, but very soon.”

“She is a private person, an incredible person, a very confident person, and she loves our country dearly,” Trump said.

“Frankly, I want to keep her away from campaign activities – they are too annoying,” he added.
