Melania demands truth be revealed in foiled assassination attempt on Trump.

Former US First Lady Melania Trump publicly questioned the role of law enforcement in the assassination attempt on her husband, former President Trump, on Tuesday, September 10. She demanded the truth to be revealed.

In a 30-second video posted on the social media platform X, Melania stated, “An attempt to end my husband’s life, it was a terrifying and painful experience.”

“Now, the silence on this matter weighs heavily,” continued the 54-year-old former First Lady.

She went on to ask, “I can’t help but wonder: why didn’t law enforcement arrest the gunman before the rally? There must be more to this story, and we need to uncover the truth.”

In the video’s conclusion, the former First Lady urged Trump supporters to pre-order her upcoming memoir “Melania,” set to be released on October 8.

This marks Melania Trump’s first time speaking out about the assassination attempt on Trump, despite releasing a lengthy statement the day after the incident, thanking law enforcement for protecting her husband and urging Americans to unite following the attack, transcending “hate, divisiveness, and the foolish ideas that incite violence.”

On July 13, at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, 20-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks fired eight shots, hitting Trump in the upper right ear and causing the death of a 50-year-old former firefighter. Two male attendees, aged 74 and 57, were critically injured and hospitalized.

As the former First Lady issued her latest statement, federal investigators reported that they were still unable to determine the gunman’s motive.

Last month, federal investigators indicated that before deciding on the Butler rally as the target, Crooks had considered attacking events featuring both Trump and President Biden.

On July 23, Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Christopher Paris testified before the US House Committee on Homeland Security that law enforcement found Crooks suspicious near the rally as he was wandering conspicuously and never approached the entrance to the rally venue.

Under significant pressure following the shooting incident, US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned on July 23.

After the shooting incident, the US House of Representatives formed a bipartisan special task force to investigate security vulnerabilities in this attempted assassination event.
