Massive Fire Breaks Out in Warehouse in Songjiang, Shanghai as Flames Shoot Up and Thick Smoke Billows

On February 16th, at around 3 p.m., a fire broke out at a warehouse on Nanle Road in Songjiang District, Shanghai. The scene was engulfed in flames reaching towards the sky, accompanied by thick billows of smoke. As of the time of reporting, the cause of the fire and any casualties were unknown.

A video circulating online shows the warehouse on fire with the words “Daily Shun Logistics” written on the exterior wall. In the video, flames can be seen burning inside the warehouse, with the fire raging fiercely and thick smoke continuously billowing out.

According to a report from Shanghai’s “Xinmin Evening News,” the fire occurred at a warehouse belonging to a unit on Nanle Road. At the time of reporting, the flames were still burning, with the outer wall of the warehouse tilting inwards.

The Songjiang District Fire Rescue Brigade reported that a fire broke out at a unit on Nanle Road in Songjiang District at around 3:28 p.m. on February 16th.

Public records indicate that Daily Shun was established in January 2000 and is the most important supply chain enterprise under the Haier Group. Daily Shun (Shanghai) Investment Co., Ltd. has two shareholders, with Shanghai Yujin Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Shanghai Yujin”) holding 55% of the shares and Haier Electric Group Co., Ltd. holding 45% of the shares.
