Hackers group “Black Moon” has obtained two documents from Russia providing weapons and equipment for airborne operations against Taiwan by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), revealing a glimpse of the military cooperation between China and Russia. The documents show that China and Russia have officially launched a cooperation under the code name “Sword 208,” with Russia assisting the CCP in establishing airborne forces for attacking Taiwan and providing related equipment.
The “Sword 208” project includes a complete set of military equipment delivered by Russian manufacturers to China. This list is designed mainly for rapid response airborne assault operations, consisting of 5 major items.
Despite the agreement between China and Russia to train airborne forces for the military takeover of Taiwan, Russian airborne operations in Ukraine were not successful, and there have been no large-scale airborne operations since World War II. Facing increasingly advanced modern radar and air defense systems, the question remains whether airborne forces can safely reach the operational area, let alone conduct actual airborne operations.
