Recently, the newly emerging Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance is scheduled to visit California on July 31 (Wednesday) to participate in a fundraising event hosted by John Harris, the president of Harris Ranch beef production company.
Vance, a federal senator from Ohio, is also the author of the bestselling autobiography “Hillbilly Elegy.” Reports indicate that Vance will be heading to the Coalinga area of California, approximately 60 miles southwest of Fresno, to attend a luncheon hosted by John Harris, Karen and Richard Spencer, and William Bourdeau, who are all listed as the organizing committee members on the invitation.
Tables provided by the organizing committee are priced at $50,000 per table, round tables at $25,000, and an opportunity for a photograph with lunch included is priced at $15,000. According to the invitation, general admission tickets along with lunch start at $3,300.
Former President Donald Trump announced on July 16 at the Republican National Convention his selection of Vance as his running mate, after officially securing the Republican presidential nomination.
Senior advisors to Trump’s campaign, Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles, released a statement on the 15th saying, “Following President Trump’s record-breaking and rapid nomination by the Republican Party, enthusiasm for his ‘Make America Great Again’ movement continues to grow, and we will bring overwhelming victory to the Trump-Vance ticket on November 5.”
According to data from the political fundraising tracking organization Open Secrets, Trump’s campaign has already raised $217 million in 2024. His Super Political Action Committee, Make America Great Again Inc., has raised over $178 million this year.
In June, Trump raised tens of millions of dollars in California.
Harmeet Dhillon, a member of the Republican National Committee, stated that on June 12, former President Trump raised $12 million overnight at a fundraising event hosted by venture capitalist David Sacks in San Francisco.
