Los Angeles Chinese Hold “July 1st Funeral of the Communist Party” and Burn Party Flag in Front of Consulate

In a stark shift from previous years, Chinese Consulates in the United States did not hold celebrations for the Communist Party’s founding anniversary on July 1st this year. Instead, large gatherings of Chinese people were seen protesting outside these consulates, demanding to “bury” the Chinese Communist Party and seek revenge for the people.

On June 29th (Sunday) and July 1st (Tuesday), various Chinese community groups organized a “bury the tyranny of the CCP and seek revenge for the people” themed rally in front of the Los Angeles Chinese Consulate. Participating organizations included the China Democratic Party International Alliance, the China Social Democracy Party, Awakening New Era, International Human Rights Concern Group, Los Angeles China Democracy Platform, Constitutional Research Society for Overseas Chinese, China Anti-Political Persecution Alliance, Chinese Citizen Freedom Alliance, and the “Blank Paper Movement” against the CCP alliance.

Participants displayed banners with slogans such as “End the tyranny of the CCP on July 1st, judge the Communist Party and seek revenge for the people.” Some also held placards detailing the various atrocities committed by the CCP against the people since its establishment.

From burning CCP flags, stomping on them, to carrying a coffin to “bury” the CCP, the rally witnessed intense emotions. Amid cheers, several Chinese individuals gleefully popped balloons adorned with CCP flag symbols, an act that could lead to years of imprisonment in China. Some of them had faced persecution back in China, with unresolved grievances and hardships, finding freedom of expression on American soil.

Veteran pro-democracy activist, Chairman of the China Social Democracy Party, and former Associate Professor of History, Liu Yinquan traced back, stating, “The CCP was a branch of the Communist International when it was founded; the Communist International was established and controlled by the Soviet Union, serving the interests of the Soviet Union. It can be said that the CCP was a tool used by the Soviet Union to invade China, a group of traitors and collaborators.” He pointed out that the Soviet support of the CCP viewed it as an internal agent working to eliminate the Republic of China and serve as its proxy.

During the First National Congress of the CCP, representatives from the Communist International, Marin attended the meeting, with the CCP officially acknowledging his significant contributions to the founding and growth of the party; another representative, Nikolsky, was a Soviet spy. Historian Li Yuanhua noted on NTD’s “Elite Forum” program that both individuals provided each delegate with 100 yuan for travel expenses, and an additional 50 yuan afterward.

Liu Yinquan remarked that the CCP was like a thief claiming to be the father, betraying traditional culture, betraying the Chinese civilization, a group of disloyal, unrighteous individuals. It was because of this betrayal that once the CCP seized power, they labeled the pillars of society, elite groups as landlords, rich peasants, capitalists, counter-revolutionaries, bad elements, rightists, subjecting them to class enemy statuses; slaughtering, imprisoning, and denouncing them, confiscating their properties, suppressing their family members, resulting in the massacre and starvation of millions of compatriots.

Lead rally organizer Zhang Liumin stated she was honored to host the anti-CCP rally, though due to her regular participation in such activities, her parents in China were visited by two policemen on December 1st last year, who threatened the elderly couple, instructing them to tell Zhang Liumin to cease her activities, return to China to surrender, and seek lenient sentencing.

“I want to tell the CCP that you are the executioner wielding the sickle and hammer, you should face judgment from the Chinese people and the world,” Zhang Liumin said, highlighting that the CCP’s flag emblem, depicting sickle and hammer, vividly exposes the nature of the CCP’s authoritarian tyranny. “With one hand waving the sickle to harvest (the common people) like leeks, and the other hand raising the hammer to crush the heads of the people.”

She believed that there was no hope for the CCP to change, as their century-long history of wrongdoing showed they never forgot their “original intentions,” heading towards their inevitable doomsday. Poet who witnessed the June 4 massacre and writer whose works are held in the U.S. Library of Congress, Jiang Pinchao, also participated in the rally. He noted that many in China were brainwashed, unaware of the CCP’s history and how it had caused the deaths of so many Chinese people over the years, emphasizing the significance of such activities in saving the common people.

Observing more young individuals joining the protests against the CCP, Jiang Pinchao remarked, “Now is the phase of awakening for the Chinese people. Our calls aim to let the common people know: the CCP is not ‘honorable and upright,’ they are deceiving the Chinese people. We must make people understand the evil nature of the CCP.”

During the June 29th rally, nearly every speaker mentioned the number of Chinese people killed since the establishment of the CCP: in each movement, tens of thousands of people were unjustly labeled “landlords, rich peasants, bad elements, rightists,” and were arrested or killed; similar movements had been carried out in the Soviet Union and North Korea.

“Since its establishment, the CCP’s actions have been nothing but killings, oppression, revolutions – ‘revolutionizing’ the lives of common people. It was built upon a foundation of crimes, evil, and bloodshed,” said Jie Lijian, Chairman of the China Democratic Party International Alliance, estimating the total number slaughtered to exceed over a billion! From the day of its founding, it brought endless disasters to the Chinese people and all of humanity.

Amidst their anger, rally attendees smeared and ignited a CCP flag, watching gleefully as the evil party’s red flag turned to ashes in the flames, cheered by the crowd.

On July 1st (Tuesday) afternoon, Jie Lijian and some Los Angeles-based Chinese individuals continued their protests in front of the Chinese Consulate, burning CCP flags once again. Many Chinese individuals lining up for consulate services that day also took photos, documenting the scene of protest.

“We hope every Chinese person stays away from the communist specter, away from the evil CCP,” Jie Lijian said. “The CCP is at the end of its road, its days are numbered, and those who associate with it will end up buried alongside it.” He urged everyone to work together to dissolve the CCP soon and reclaim the dignity of the Chinese people.
