Little Kennedy: Trump will recommend stopping the addition of fluoride to drinking water.

Former US presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stated that if Trump is elected president, he will seek to end the addition of fluoride to public drinking water.

On Sunday, Kennedy took to the social platform X and wrote that if Trump wins the US election, he will “recommend all American water systems to remove fluoride from public tap water” on his first day in office.

Kennedy then mentioned a groundbreaking ruling by a US regional judge in September, directing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to address concerns about whether fluoride could lead to lower children’s IQ.

The American Dental Association and related medical groups have expressed disagreement with this ruling, once again recommending the addition of fluoride to drinking water.

On X platform, Kennedy wrote: “Fluoride is an industrial waste that is linked to arthritis, fractures, bone cancer, lowered IQ, neurodevelopmental disorders, and thyroid diseases.”

Since 1945, US municipal authorities have been adding fluoride to tap water to prevent tooth decay. The US Public Health Service recommends a fluoride content of 0.7 milligrams per liter in tap water systems.

Earlier this year, the National Toxicology Program, a subsidiary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), released a report stating that elevated fluoride levels in some countries may be associated with lower children’s IQ levels. The agency found that drinking water with a fluoride content of 1.5 milligrams per liter could impact children.

For the past 50 years, the recommended upper limit for fluoride content by the Public Health Service (PHS) in the US has been 1.2 milligrams per liter. The World Health Organization has set the safety limit for fluoride in drinking water at 1.5 milligrams.

Judge Edward Chen in Northern District of California wrote in the ruling that although it is not yet certain whether the recommended fluoride dosage in the US may lower children’s IQ, recent studies suggest potential risks associated with this compound.

The judge stated, “Under federal law, the health risks of US tap water fluoride exposure are sufficient to trigger EPA regulatory action.” He stressed that “publicly available scientific literature is highly confident (fluoride) is hazardous” and “fluoride is associated with IQ reduction.”

Since the ruling was issued, several towns in the US have suspended the addition of fluoride to water, including two towns in Westchester County, New York, and Abilene, Texas.

In response to the ruling, the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics expressed doubts about the judge’s reliance on the validity of the research.

Kennedy recently also stated that Trump would allow him to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, although the Trump team has not made any formal cabinet or agency personnel decisions yet.

The Epoch Times reporter contacted Trump and the team of Heather Heidelbaugh to comment on Kennedy’s statement regarding fluoride.

Trump told NBC News on Sunday that he hasn’t discussed the fluoride issue with Kennedy yet, “but it sounds good… you know, it’s possible.”

Last month at a rally in Madison Square Garden in New York, Trump told the audience that he would allow Kennedy to “wield a big stick” in health, food, and drug matters.

Last week, Trump emphatically stated at a rally in Michigan that Kennedy would play a “critical role” in federal health agencies, and he “happens to agree very much” with some of Kennedy’s views.

Earlier this year, Kennedy suspended his independent presidential campaign to support Trump. Kennedy is the son of former Attorney General Robert Kennedy and the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy.
