Kennedy to deliver national address on “The Path Forward” this Friday.

On Wednesday, August 21, the independent presidential candidate for the 2024 United States election, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., announced that he would give a national speech in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, August 23.

The spokesperson for Kennedy’s campaign team, Stefanie Spear, took to the social media platform X on Wednesday to announce that the independent presidential candidate would address the nation on Friday about the current historical moment and his path forward.

Prior to this announcement, Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, indicated on a podcast episode of the Los Angeles media company “Impact Theory” on Tuesday, August 20, that she “fully supports” Kennedy in his future role in the Trump administration. Shanahan also hinted that they might end their campaign and join forces with former President Trump.

In a detailed explanation to Fox News on Wednesday regarding the above messages, Shanahan expressed that the idea was to “jointly fight for the freedom of this country and for the health of our children. We currently have the most severe chronic health issues in the world, with over 50% of children diagnosed with some form of chronic illness.”

Shanahan stated, “This is unreasonable, and we are willing to work with anyone sincere in addressing this issue.”

Emphasizing that the decision to consider ending the campaign and supporting Trump was “a very difficult decision,” Shanahan mentioned, “Even in considering it, it’s difficult. It is indeed a very difficult decision, and we did not come to this critical moment lightly.”

Interestingly, Trump is set to hold a campaign rally in Glendale, Arizona, about a 20-minute drive from Phoenix on Friday.

According to Fox News, just before the announcement of Kennedy’s upcoming national speech, Kennedy’s daughter-in-law and campaign manager, Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, sent an email to campaign staff.

She wrote, “For the past few months, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has never leaked his thoughts through informal channels. He never will, especially at such a crucial moment for all of us. So please be patient until you hear his voice directly.”
