K-POP girl group TripleS, with the largest number of members, released their first full-length album “ASSEMBLE24” as a complete group of 24 members on May 8th. The company announced today that they have signed with SME Records, a music production company under Sony Music in Japan, officially debuting in Japan.
TripleS made their debut on February 13, 2023, with the release of their mini album “ASSEMBLE” and revealed the complete group consisting of 24 members on April 4 this year. They just released their first full-length album yesterday and today, they announced their debut in Japan through the official Japanese website.
The official website announced that TripleS’s Japanese management will be jointly handled by Stream Media Corporation and Ligareaz, the Japanese subsidiary of SM Entertainment. They will debut in Japan under SME Records, a music production company under Sony Music.
Although the official debut date in Japan for TripleS has not been officially announced yet, the official website has revealed handwritten messages in Korean and Japanese from several members. Official social media accounts also shared video clips recorded by the members for their debut in Japan.
Japanese member Kaeda Yamada stated: “We have finally debuted as a group of 24 members and are very happy to start our activities in Japan after a long wait! We will frequently visit Japan in the future and create wonderful memories together with everyone.”
Kotone Kamii expressed gratitude to fans for their patience, saying: “Our activities in Japan will increase in the future, so please make time for us, okay? I’m looking forward to meeting WAV, our official fan club in Japan!”
Mirai Takarai, another Japanese member, shared her happiness about being able to promote in Japan as a member of a Korean girl group, saying: “I feel fortunate to be able to promote in Japan, where I was born and raised, as a Japanese member of a Korean girl group. I can’t wait to meet our Japanese fans, WAV. Please wait for us a little longer. Love you all.”
Rin Kawakami conveyed her excitement about being able to promote in Japan, stating: “We can finally start our activities in Japan!! Finally! I really can’t wait to meet everyone, looking forward to meeting you all soon~ Please stay tuned for our ‘ASSEMBLE24’! See you soon~”
