Joint event by Malaysian Association and City Police to hold safety and legal seminar on June 23

The Malaysian American Association (MAA) Chairman Pang Junxiong announced on June 11 that they will be organizing a fraud prevention, self-defense techniques, and legal consultation seminar in collaboration with the New York City Police Department and the Malaysian Consulate General in New York on June 23.

The event will consist of four main parts:

Firstly, officers from the Community Affairs Department of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) will be invited to explain common fraud tactics, ways to prevent fraud, and self-defense techniques.

Secondly, officials from the Malaysian Consulate General in New York will explain Malaysian document processing, passports, notary services policies, and answer questions.

Thirdly, the association’s legal advisor will discuss immigration, status processing, and other legal matters.

Lastly, members of the association will share insights on labor laws.
