A violent incident erupted at the Jilin Judicial Police Vocational College in China on May 13th, with a group of students storming into dormitories to assault other students. In leaked videos, it is evident that more than one person was being assaulted, with some victims seen falling to the ground and vomiting, while the assailants dispersed after the attacks. As of now, the Jilin Judicial Police Vocational College has not officially reported this incident.
The college in question is tasked with training future judicial police officers, public security personnel, and prosecutors. Online commentators have expressed shock at the incident, as those resorting to violence might one day become law enforcers themselves.
Recently, a video circulated online showing several individuals rushing into a student dormitory at the Jilin Judicial Police Vocational College, assaulting others. The roughly 10-second clip, recorded on the evening of May 2nd, depicts several young men entering a student dormitory, verbally and physically assaulting a male student, creating a chaotic scene. Some roommates, bare-chested, attempted to intervene but were blocked by the assailants. One male student was beaten to the ground, displaying agonizing expressions. Another student in a white shirt was seen vomiting into a plastic basin, with the words “Police Academy” visibly printed on the side. The video caption indicated, “Bullying and assault at the Jilin Judicial Police Vocational College in Changchun, causing injuries to multiple individuals.”
The video footage also revealed a half-naked male lying on the dormitory floor, presumably wounded.
On May 14th, the Jilin Judicial Police Vocational College informed the media that an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
Following the circulation of the aforementioned video on social media platforms, it rapidly stirred significant public outcry. Some netizens sarcastically remarked, “The future uniform-wearing dark forces have gained more power.”
Other online users posted comments suggesting, “Their student status and police status should be revoked. Those engaging in fights must be expelled because even after graduation, they will be unable to maintain public order.”
