Recently, a popular internet celebrity restaurant named “Chongren Manor” in Chongren County, Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province suffered an accident. A customer was tragically killed when the ceiling collapsed during dining, with reports suggesting that the victim was a local urban management officer.
On August 18th, the local authorities in Chongren County, Fuzhou, released a situation report stating that at around 19:07 on the 16th, a ceiling collapse incident occurred in a dining compartment of “Chongren Manor” restaurant, resulting in one customer getting injured. The injured person was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately, the injured individual passed away around 10 a.m. on the 17th despite the rescue efforts.
Earlier that day, a local netizen posted a video revealing that at Chongren Manor in Bashan Town, Chongren County, a beam collapsed, resulting in a fatality.
The video footage showed a chaotic scene at the incident site, with broken bricks scattered around. A man was seen being carried out on a wooden board by several individuals.
According to mainland media reports, the incident occurred around 7 p.m. on the 16th, during the dinner service, when the “Chongren Manor” restaurant was bustling with activity. Suddenly, there was a loud noise, and the ceiling of the compartment collapsed.
An informant revealed to the “Xiaoxiang Morning News” that one man was struck by the collapse, presumed to be a local urban management officer who happened to be dining there over the weekend and was hit by a beam.
In response to this incident, netizens were actively discussing: “How coincidental to hit an urban management officer.” “Urban management officers have been oppressive, exploiting the common people, they should’ve been removed long ago.”
It is reported that “Chongren Manor” is a well-known restaurant in the area, a popular spot for internet celebrities, drawing many visitors who come specifically to check-in at the location.
