Japanese company develops “automatic bathing machine” making lazy people happy

Innovative “Auto Bathing Machine” Developed in Japan

If you are someone who is too lazy to take a shower or too exhausted to muster the energy to bathe, you might want to pay attention to the “auto bathing machine” developed by a company in Japan. In just 15 minutes, this machine, that revolutionizes the traditional bathing concept, can help you clean and dry your body.

Reported by the Japanese newspaper “Asahi Shimbun,” the Science company (株式会社サイエンス), mainly engaged in the development of bathing water purification equipment, has developed the “Mirai Auto Bathing Machine” (ミライ人間洗濯機). It will be showcased at the upcoming World Expo in Osaka in April next year, where the public can experience a trial wash, before being available for sale as a household product.

At the Osaka World Expo held in 1970, Sanyo Electric (now under Panasonic Corporation) also presented an “auto bathing machine,” which garnered attention, but it was not commercialized thereafter.

At the upcoming World Expo next year, Science company’s “auto bathing machine” will be exhibited at the Osaka Health Hall in Osaka City. At that time, the company plans to invite 1,000 people to participate in trial baths, with 7 to 8 individuals experiencing it daily.

The design of this “auto bathing machine” resembles a fighter jet cockpit, with a transparent cover that can be opened at the back. When you sit on the chair inside, hot water automatically fills up, while sensors inside the chair measure your pulse and cleanse your body with water flow tailored to your age.

Moreover, the machine’s artificial intelligence (AI) will determine whether you are calm or excited and display images on the inside of the transparent cover to help you relax. In just 15 minutes, the machine can wash and dry you.
