Japanese actress Miho Nakayama suddenly passed away in her home bathroom at the age of 54.

Renowned Japanese actress and singer Miho Nakayama was found deceased in the bathroom of her home in Shibuya, Tokyo today (6th), at the age of 54.

Miho Nakayama was scheduled to hold the “Miho Nakayama Christmas Concert 2024 in Billboard Live” in Osaka today, but the official announcement cited her poor health condition as the reason for the cancellation.

At noon on the 6th, as Miho Nakayama did not show up at the work site as scheduled, staff members went to her residence in Shibuya and discovered her lifeless in the bathtub. The police are investigating the cause of her death.

Debuting as an idol in 1985, along with other idols of the same period such as Shizuka Kudo, Yui Asaka, and Yoko Minamino, she was known as one of the “Four Great Idol Queens”.

She also starred in the movie “Love Letter” in 1995, winning the Best Actress award at the 20th Japan Movie Critics Awards and the Best Actress award at the 38th Japan Blue Ribbon Awards. Moreover, she won the Best Actress award at the 4th Japanese Drama Academy Awards for her role in the television drama “All For You”. In 1998, she co-starred with Takuya Kimura in the television drama “Sleeping Forest”, winning the Best Actress award at the 19th Japanese Drama Academy Awards.
