Israeli Prime Minister: Trump Should Receive Nobel Prize for Gaza Agreement

Israel and Hamas signed a ceasefire and hostage agreement in Gaza on Thursday (October 9), with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that day calling for the Nobel Peace Prize to be awarded to US President Trump.

Netanyahu expressed his gratitude for Trump’s leadership in facilitating the Israel-Hamas peace agreement.

“President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. It is well deserved!” Netanyahu’s office posted on the social media platform X.

As early as July, Netanyahu nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, and after signing the hostage and ceasefire agreement with Hamas on Thursday, he urged the prize committee to award it to Trump.

The agreement signed on Thursday is the first-stage agreement of Trump’s Gaza peace plan. Netanyahu’s office stated that once the Israeli government approves the agreement, the ceasefire will take effect immediately.

Trump stated that Hamas will release Israeli hostages held in Gaza next Monday or Tuesday.

The “Hostages and Missing Families Forum,” representing the families of Israeli hostages, wrote to the Nobel Committee on October 6, strongly recommending Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. President Trump later issued a public letter thanking the families of the hostages for the nomination and promising to work to bring all hostages home.

Argentine President Javier Milei announced that he will nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize to recognize his “extraordinary contributions” to international peace.

Since returning to the White House in January, Trump has resolved conflicts between several countries. On August 1, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol stated that Cambodia will nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. Earlier, due to Trump’s direct involvement, Cambodia and Thailand reached an “unconditional ceasefire” in their border conflict.

Pakistan announced in June of this year that it will nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his contributions to assisting in resolving the deadly conflict between Pakistan and India.

On August 8, Trump met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the White House. The two countries signed a US-mediated peace agreement. After decades of conflict between the two countries, the agreement will enhance their economic ties. Aliyev and Pashinyan praised Trump for his contribution to ending the conflict between the two countries and stated that they will nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
