Israeli Prime Minister Holds Call with Biden to Discuss Response to Iran Attacks.

On Wednesday, October 9th, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Joe Biden had a phone call to discuss how Israel would respond to the recent attacks by Iran.

The White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre stated that the phone call between Netanyahu and President Biden lasted approximately 30 minutes and was described as “direct and productive,” focusing on Israel’s response to the missile attacks by Iran.

“After the attack by Iran last week, discussions have been ongoing between the U.S. and Israeli governments, and President Biden and Prime Minister Netanyahu are continuing these discussions,” Jean-Pierre said.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s office mentioned that the call lasted about 50 minutes. It is expected that both parties will release statements regarding the call later on Wednesday.

“Channel 12” cited an Israeli official saying that the conversation between Netanyahu and Biden was conducted in a “positive atmosphere.”

The main topic of discussion was Israel’s response to the missile attacks by Iran.

This phone call marks the first communication between Biden and Netanyahu since August. This comes at a time when Israel is planning how to respond to the missile attacks by Iran.

Over the past few weeks, Israel has carried out intensive bombings against Hezbollah, significantly damaging their command structure and eliminating many commanders. Following the assassination of leader Hassan Nasrallah by Israel, Iran, in support of Hezbollah, launched around 200 missiles on Israel. Prime Minister Netanyahu vowed that Iran would pay a price for this.

The Middle East region is closely watching to see what kind of response Israel will make towards Iran.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated on Wednesday that Israel’s strike against Iran would be “lethal, precise, and most importantly, unexpected.”

“They (Iran) won’t understand what happened, how it happened, they will only see the results,” Gallant said.

During a visit to the Israeli Defense Forces Intelligence Unit 9900 (responsible for gathering intelligence in the conflict zones), Gallant emphasized that the entire Israeli security system, from rank-and-file soldiers to the Prime Minister, is united in their approach towards striking Iran: “The entire chain of command is united, all focused on this issue.”
