Israeli Air Strike Coincides with Iran’s Supreme Leader’s Birthday

On April 13, Iran launched drone and missile attacks against Israel, and for nearly a week after that, there were reports that Israel retaliated on Friday (April 19). Media reports indicated that Israel’s retaliation coincided with the birthday of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, drawing attention to the situation.

According to the Indian newspaper “The Economic Times,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was born on April 19, 1939, as stated on his official website. However, his official birthdate on his birth certificate is July 16, 1939.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is the highest authority in the Islamic Republic of Iran and wields significant power, not only determining Iran’s fate but also influencing the entire Middle East and other regions.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been the longest-serving Supreme Leader of Iran, starting his term in 1989, and has also served as Iran’s president from 1981 to 1989.

In early April, Israel allegedly carried out airstrikes near the Iranian diplomatic mission in Damascus, the capital of Syria, killing a senior officer of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. In retaliation, on the evening of April 13, Iran launched numerous missiles and drones targeting Israeli facilities. Israel later announced its intention to strike back.

The Iranian Fars News Agency reported earlier that explosions could be heard near an airport in Isfahan, central Iran.
